In May, at the Mondrian South Beach hotel during Miami Swim Week, a man who claimed to have driven over 1,000 miles from New York to marry Rain reportedly tried to grab her after she rejected his advances. Connor McCrory, Rain’s close friend and head of marketing, recounted the incident to the New York Post. McCrory stated that the man’s explicit intention to marry Rain, despite having never met her, immediately alarmed her security detail. “He had apparently traveled from New York to Miami specifically to find Sophie. That immediately raised serious concerns for everyone around her,” McCrory said.
The situation escalated when, after being turned down, the man attempted to physically accost Rain. “At that point, our only priority was getting her away from him and making sure she was safe,” McCrory explained. He emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting, “When someone says they traveled that far to marry a person they have never met and then tries to grab her, you cannot treat that as harmless excitement. It has to be taken seriously.” Rain's team did not involve law enforcement directly but instead notified hotel staff to ensure awareness of the individual should he remain on or return to the property.
This incident emerged amidst ongoing security challenges, including a separate, more persistent threat involving Connor Litka. Litka, who is accused of stalking Rain, was recently reported missing from an Indiana crisis center on a Wednesday. Last year, Litka allegedly broke into a house Rain was renting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, smashing windows before she discovered him inside upon returning from Super Bowl parties.
Court documents cited by the New York Post indicated Litka informed a crisis center employee of his desire to return to "Florida to be with Sophie." He also reportedly referred to Rain as his girlfriend and claimed they had taken a "blood oath." Rain has publicly refuted these claims, denying any personal relationship or oath with Litka, as reported by TMZ. As of a recent Friday, McCrory confirmed that Rain’s team had no further updates on Litka’s whereabouts, intensifying the need for heightened security measures.
In response to these escalating threats, Rain’s security arrangements have been substantially expanded. These now include hiring multiple off-duty police officers to provide protection wherever she travels. McCrory highlighted the significant financial burden this entails, stating, “It’s starting to cost close to $50,000 a month just for security because of stalking incidents.” Despite the personal danger, Rain’s team has expressed a desire for Litka to receive appropriate treatment and care, while simultaneously maintaining rigorous precautions to ensure her safety.

The New York Post has identified her as one of OnlyFans’ top five earners, with an estimated annual income of approximately $45 million.
