A commercial building housing Pratt Daddy, the crystal business owned by reality television personality Spencer Pratt, was damaged by a fire Thursday afternoon in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles. While authorities have not yet determined the cause of the blaze, Pratt publicly stated his belief that the incident may have been intentionally set.

Multiple units from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to the scene and worked for several hours to contain the flames and ensure the fire was fully extinguished. No injuries were reported, according to fire officials. The LAFD confirmed that its arson investigators were notified and are actively reviewing the incident. As of Friday, the cause of the fire had not been released, and the investigation remains active.
Pratt, known for his appearances on reality television and his recent participation in Los Angeles’ mayoral race, expressed suspicion regarding the timing of the fire. "I want to be careful not to compromise an arson investigation, but this incident is very suspicious," Pratt said in comments reported Friday. "I will wait for investigators to make public the details, but this was no accident." He further connected the incident to recent political developments, citing what he described as contentious activity surrounding the mayoral election. Pratt did not provide specific evidence to support his claims, acknowledging that investigators have not publicly identified a cause.
Photographs from the scene depicted firefighters battling flames and smoke rising from the commercial structure. Fire crews remained on site for an extended period, conducting inspections to prevent rekindling. The property where the fire occurred had previously housed a local restaurant and sustained damage during last year’s Palisades Fire. Reports indicated that portions of the building were undergoing renovations at the time of Thursday's incident.
Pratt publicly thanked firefighters for their rapid response and praised emergency personnel for preventing more extensive damage to the property. He reiterated his belief that the fire may have been intentional, stating, "There are many unscrupulous people in this city who will stop at nothing to silence people who expose corruption." However, authorities have not announced any suspects or identified evidence indicating criminal activity.
The fire broke out hours after Pratt released a video on social media in which he criticized the remaining candidates in the Los Angeles mayoral race. In the video, he claimed to possess recordings involving political figures that, if released, would force resignations, though he did not provide details about the alleged recordings. Following the most recent round of voting, incumbent Mayor Karen Bass advanced to a runoff election alongside City Council member Nithya Raman. Pratt was eliminated from the race. Representatives for Bass and Raman did not immediately comment on Pratt’s allegations.
Pratt has operated Pratt Daddy since 2017, specializing in crystals, gemstones, and related products sold through online and retail channels. According to company materials, Pratt developed an interest in crystals as part of alternative wellness approaches while supporting his wife, singer and television personality Heidi Montag, during her recovery from multiple medical procedures. The business has since grown into a recognizable brand, particularly among fans of the couple.
Investigators continue their work to determine the definitive cause of Thursday’s fire. Officials stated that additional information will be released to the public once the investigation progresses and all evidence has been thoroughly reviewed.
