Multiple units from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to the scene and worked for several hours to contain the flames and ensure the fire was fully extinguished. No injuries were reported, according to fire officials. The LAFD confirmed that its arson investigators were notified and are actively reviewing the incident. As of Friday, the cause of the fire had not been released, and the investigation remains active.
Pratt, known for his appearances on reality television and his recent participation in Los Angeles’ mayoral race, expressed suspicion regarding the timing of the fire. "I want to be careful not to compromise an arson investigation, but this incident is very suspicious," Pratt said in comments reported Friday. "I will wait for investigators to make public the details, but this was no accident." He further connected the incident to recent political developments, citing what he described as contentious activity surrounding the mayoral election. Pratt did not provide specific evidence to support his claims, acknowledging that investigators have not publicly identified a cause.
Photographs from the scene depicted firefighters battling flames and smoke rising from the commercial structure. Pratt has operated Pratt Daddy since 2017, specializing in crystals, gemstones, and related products sold through online and retail channels. According to company materials, Pratt developed an interest in crystals as part of alternative wellness approaches while supporting his wife, singer and television personality Heidi Montag, during her recovery from multiple medical procedures. The business has since grown into a recognizable brand, particularly among fans of the couple.
