In the pre-dawn hours of February 22, a security breach at Mar-a-Lago, the estate of President Donald Trump in Palm Beach, Florida, resulted in the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Austin Tucker Martin. U.S. Secret Service agents, alongside a deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, engaged Martin after he unlawfully entered the property's perimeter with a shotgun and a fuel canister at approximately 1:30 a.m.
"I don’t know if you read up on the Epstein Files, but evil is real and unmistakable," Martin wrote in a text message to a coworker.
Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi confirmed the incident, stating that after Martin aimed his weapon at the officers, the agents and deputy were forced to discharge their firearms, resulting in Martin's death at the scene. Law enforcement officials subsequently located Martin's vehicle, a 2013 silver Volkswagen Tiguan, where a box for the shotgun was found, suggesting recent acquisition of the firearm.

A text message unearthed by TMZ showed Martin urging a coworker to spread awareness about the Epstein files and the government's actions. President Trump, who has publicly severed ties with Epstein over two decades ago, has not been charged with any involvement with the convicted financier.
Martin, who lived with his parents in their secluded home, was known for his detailed pen-and-ink illustrations shared on social media. His creative pursuits and family life, as depicted in online photographs, painted a starkly different image from the scenario that unfolded at Mar-a-Lago.
