French newspaper Le Parisien released the images, which depict a variety of rooms within the 18-room property situated on Avenue Foch, an exclusive Parisian location.
The photographs portray an environment laden with explicit materials, including a massage table, sex toys, and walls adorned with nude photographs. Notably, one image captures Epstein in the company of two topless women. Acquired in 2001, the apartment's interior design features various themed spaces, such as a "Chinese room" complete with dragon wallpaper, a study with red leather accents, and a rotunda that boasts a bearskin rug and sweeping views of the Arc de Triomphe.
The array of animal décor is striking, with rooms displaying antelope horns, a taxidermied elephant calf, and a vulture, alongside furniture covered in faux tiger skin. The property also housed a sauna and gym, according to reports by multiple media outlets. These details emerged from photographs taken during a 2019 police investigation into rape allegations against Jean-Luc Brunel, a French modeling agent and associate of Epstein.
Brunel faced scrutiny for trafficking minors and was found dead in his Paris prison cell in 2022, a death ruled as suicide by authorities. The New York Post reported that his passing occurred while awaiting trial on rape charges. Following the United States Department of Justice's release of extensive files connected to Epstein, French investigators have initiated two new inquiries this month—one into human trafficking and the other targeting alleged financial crimes.
This renewed investigative vigor includes revisiting materials from the original Brunel case. Chief Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau expressed optimism, stating that the abundance of information could provide a comprehensive view of the case. The Department of Justice document release has already led to significant developments, such as the arrest of Prince Andrew and an investigation into former culture minister Jack Lang. These revelations have also prompted resignations from various high-profile figures.
Public focus on the Epstein case intensified following a joint FBI and DOJ memo last July, confirming Epstein's suicide in 2019 and refuting the existence of a so-called "client list" of influential individuals allegedly involved in trafficking. This conclusion stands in contrast to widespread speculation.
