Claims from a former Lockheed Martin scientist alleging the presence of extraterrestrials and advanced anti-gravity technology at Area 51 have recently resurfaced, coinciding with increased public attention on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) and government transparency efforts. Boyd Bushman, an aerospace engineer and inventor who passed away in August 2014 at the age of 78, made these assertions in an interview recorded shortly before his death, which he described as a "death confession."
"They’re approximately five feet four inches to five feet tall. One or two of them were around 230 years old, and we had at least 18 of them operating around the facility." — Boyd Bushman, Former Lockheed Martin Scientist
Bushman, who held numerous patents related to advanced military and aerospace technologies throughout his distinguished career, sat down with independent aerospace engineer Mark Q Patterson to share his purported experiences. During the interview, Bushman presented photographs that he claimed depicted real extraterrestrial beings actively working within the highly classified Nevada facility. "They’re approximately five feet four inches to five feet tall," Bushman stated, holding up one of the images. He further alleged, "One or two of them were around 230 years old, and we had at least 18 of them operating around the facility."
According to Bushman, his involvement with these clandestine operations stemmed from contact with individuals connected to legendary physicist Edward Teller, who Bushman claimed remained engaged with secret projects at Area 51 even after J. Robert Oppenheimer's removal from operations there. Bushman maintained that he retained top-secret security clearance during his final years and asserted continuous contact with those involved in highly classified programs linked to Area 51. He claimed that insiders provided him with photographs not only of alien beings but also of unidentified flying objects allegedly stored and studied at the facility.
Describing the alleged craft, Bushman said, "This is a UFO that is ready to take off. These things pick up and fly using anti-gravity." He further detailed that these craft were approximately 38 feet in diameter and composed partly of cobalt, germanium, and gadolinium. Among his more extraordinary claims, Bushman asserted that the extraterrestrials housed at Area 51 originated from a planet named "Quintumnia," located 68 light-years from Earth. Despite this vast distance, he claimed they could reach Earth in a mere 45 minutes utilizing advanced propulsion systems. Bushman also spoke of a hidden underground shaft beneath Area 51, specifically engineered for UFO takeoffs and landings.
The former engineer's allegations extended to a more somber note, claiming that dozens of American citizens had perished in attempts to reverse-engineer alien technology. "There’s been a total of 39 U.S. citizens who have lost their lives trying to reverse engineer UFOs," Bushman stated. He added a more recent account, saying, "Last one I heard of was a year and a half ago, where we lost 19 lives in one test."
Despite the sensational nature of Bushman's claims, there remains no publicly verified evidence to substantiate his allegations regarding extraterrestrials or covert UFO programs within Area 51. Skeptics have frequently pointed out that the supposed alien photographs presented by Bushman bear a striking resemblance to commercially available prop dolls.
However, Bushman's background as a legitimate aerospace engineer and inventor, holding patents for missile detection systems, electromagnetic propulsion concepts, infrared signature reduction technology, experimental aircraft designs, and advanced military targeting systems, has sustained public fascination and speculation for years, as noted by the Daily Mail. This renewed interest in Bushman’s interview comes as President Donald Trump's administration has recently intensified its focus on UFO disclosure efforts and the release of previously classified government files concerning unidentified anomalous phenomena, bringing discussions of such claims back into the public discourse.
